*Updated September 2026* Camp Somerset has plenty of parking available for our guests. When you arrive at camp, staff will direct you to the designated parking areas. The formal address to Camp Somerset is 11 Somerset Lane, Smithfield, ME, 04978. There will be event signage, but please enter camp at the “Somerset Bus Entrance” off of East Pond Road. The road name for the bus entrance is “Red Pete Lane”, however that will not show up on Google/Apple Maps. If you are staying at camp, you will check in at the large red dining hall and be directed to your cabin. If needed after check-in, you are able to drive to drop off items at your assigned cabin, however you will have to return to park behind the dining hall.

*Updated September 2026* All Camp Somerset cabins were built in 2020 and have electricity, as well as private bathrooms and showers. Guests will stay in a cabin with their plus-one or immediate family/friends. Base bed linens, towels and hand soap will be provided at your cabin. All cabins are insulated but not conditioned. If you tend to get cold at night, we would recommend bringing extra layers as needed. Items like hair dryers or shampoo/conditioner typically found in hotels will not be provided by camp.

*Updated September 2026* If you are staying at camp and are arriving after 5pm, camp staff may be inside the dining hall, but will be looking out for your arrival. If you are not greeted, please text Holley at (843)467-7984 to check in. If you are arriving after 10pm on Friday 9/18, please contact Ben + Caroline so they can help you make arrangements.

*Updated September 2026* For Friday’s welcome dinner, Dressy/Smart Casual means polished but relaxed. Men: collared shirt or polo with chinos or tailored trousers; sport coat optional, ties optional. Women: a neat dress, skirt or tailored pants with a blouse, or a dressy jumpsuit. Comfortable, clean shoes—avoid athletic wear, ripped jeans, or flip-flops. Layers recommended—September evenings in Smithfield can be cool.

We will be renting out an entire summer camp (Camp Sommerset) from Friday September 18 - Sunday September 20th in 2026 for our wedding! Expect camp activities, bonfire and more around the wedding events. Guests will also have the opportunity to stay onsite the entire weekend, coordinated through Ben and Caroline.

While we will be at a summer camp, the dress code for the ceremony and reception will be Semi-Formal or Formal attire. We encourage those who are interested to wear blue! For men, suits, a shirt and tie/bowtie or similar are appropriate choices. Women can opt for cocktail dresses or floor length dresses. For the Welcome Dinner, the attire is Dressy Casual. The rest of the weekend, comfortable clothes such as sweatpants and sweatshirts are completely fine. Our hope is that most of the weekend events will take place outdoors so we recommend staying away from stiletto heels.

While we hope for a sunny weekend, we do have contingency plans in place in case of weather. Camp Somerset offers a variety of indoor spaces that will be utilized if needed. Rest assured that we will do our best to adapt to any weather conditions and provide a memorable celebration for everyone.

To ensure that all our guests can fully enjoy the celebration, we kindly request that this weekend be "adults only" unless we have previously spoken to you about your children specifically.

When you receive a formal invitation it will indicate the number of guests we have accounted for from your party.

Camp Somerset is a smoke-free and drug-free facility. We kindly request that you leave the property if you need to smoke, as we will be charged by the venue for any smoking on-site.

If you are staying at a hotel, we would love for you to join in on the camp activities to the fullest extent possible! While some specific experiences are reserved for paying Camp Somerset guests, we have planned various events that are open to all of our guests. You are more than welcome to attend the welcome dinner on Friday, join us for the wedding festivities on Saturday, and participate in any of the camp recreation events.

For all those staying with at Camp Somerset, breakfasts will be included on Saturday and Sunday. We will also have snacks available throughout the weekend. For those who choose to stay elsewhere, you are welcome to join us for the Friday night welcome dinner and the Saturday night reception dinner.

We will have golf carts available for the weekend to shuttle guests who require extra assistance to and from different activities.

We have taken care of all alcohol for Friday and Saturday nights. However, if you wish to bring your own alcohol for any reason, we kindly request that you stick to beer/seltzers in cans.

We have made arrangements for all guests to arrive at camp between 3pm - 5pm on Friday, September 18 and depart at 11:30am on Sunday, September 20. We kindly ask that you let us know by August 1st 2026 if you will need to arrive early or arrive late, so we can ensure the proper accommodations.

We are so excited to share this special weekend with all of our friends at family! We have taken care of all costs associated with activities and meals for the weekend. Each guest will be responsible for paying their "overnight fee", which will include a two-night stay at Camp Somerset, two delicious brunch spreads, and unlimited access to camp, including late-night bonfires. This cost helps cover the fixed expenses imposed by the camp for each guest's stay, enabling us to offer this unique experience at a reasonable price. To ensure an easy check-in/out process for all guests, we do require you to stay 2 nights at Camp. If you would like to stay at Camp, but are concerned about the cost, please reach out to us directly.
